While Aura is destined to destroy their planet, Thindoral, Adie is fated to follow in their mother’s footsteps and become Ruler, but even Adie’s path comes with revelations. Dangerous premonitions plague her dreams, all depicting Thindoral’s demise at the hand of her sister.

As darkness takes control of her mind, Aura must determine whether defying fate and time is the choice that will seal her destruction, or if self-sacrifice will save all she holds dear. Meanwhile, Adie is faced with an impossible decision: save her sister, or protect their world?

Author Bio

Even before I could hold a pencil in my hand, I was making up stories in my head. I wrote my first book in the second grade, Girls [sorry Lena Dunham], about me and my best friends in college [because college was super cool when you were 8] who went on treasure hunts and fought bad guys with our super powers. My second grade teacher was so impressed with me, she laminated a cover and bound it. That will forever be the moment I dreamed of holding a copy of my own book and placing it on a shelf.

Now all grown up, my head still stays in the fantasy world, fashioning worlds where the power of a star can be harnessed and used for time travel, flying is just as easy as walking here on earth – and my best friends are fairies. My characters are dark and lost individuals, but your love for them will grow when you realize not everything is black and white. I am represented by Rebecca Angus at Golden Wheat Literary.

I have a three book deal with The Parliament House with Book One of my current
trilogy, The Halves of Us, scheduled to be published in 10/9/2018.

The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves BOOK REVIEW!!!

Title: The Girl He Used to Know

Author: Tracey Garvis Graves

Published: St. Martin's Press

Release Date: April 2, 2019

Annika has never been very social and the thought of just being around strangers is enough to send her into a panic. The time has come for Annika to leave the comfort given to her by homeschooling to venture off to college. College turns Annika into a whole mess of emotions as it becomes even more obvious that she is not like most people her age and she even comes off acting more like a small child at times than a young adult. One day while hiding underneath her covers reading a book Annika overhears her roommates friends quietly making fun of her for being so strange. Falling into a panic Annika makes a desperate phone call to her parents to come pull her out of college. Pretty sure that she would be leaving college behind for good Annika's roommate pressures her to come down to the common area of the college. Reluctantly Annika agrees and follows her roommate through the grounds to the common area where other students were engrossed in conversations, food, and chess. Annika's eyes fall on the group of students playing chess together. Her interest peeked at the thought of playing the game that she loves to play at home with her father and she is greatly encouraged by her roommate to join the Chess club. That simple act saved Annika from dropping out of college. She also begins to get close to her roommate even though they are both very different people.

Not long after Annika joins the club a handsome fun loving guy named Jonathan joins the Chess club and is quickly paired up with Annika. That one simple decision altars both of their lives forever as Jonathan and Annika slowly become friends then quickly to relationship status.

Jonathan loves everything about Annika right down to her odd quirks that come off as a bit child like and timid. The two were inseparable for what seemed like forever until graduation got closer. Jonathan wanted a future with Annika and had everything planned out for her to follow him to New York after she graduates. Then one simple accident causes everything that they both built between one another to come crashing down and their future together to come to a halt.

After a decade of lost contact Annika finds herself face to face with the man she loved so long ago in college. Everything about Jonathan is the same though many years have passed. The strong love they both had for each other was still there but a bit damaged over the years. When their broken love for each other begins to come back together something bigger than anything they have faced before happens that could bring their love to a permanent halt. Everything is left to Annika to trace the clues and put the puzzle pieces back together or lose Jonathan and her future with him forever.

Rating:

Thoughts:  First off I must give praise to the BEAUTIFUL artwork on the cover, it seems so simple yet has a lot of meaning once you have read the story. Now some praise for this AMAZING novel! I love this book so much and it has now become a permanent resident on my bookshelf for future readings. The characters are so well written about that you feel their pain and love for each other on every page. The book is written from their time in college to their adult lives and the narrative for the story switches back and forth between Annika and Jonathan which gives you a closer look at their lives and love instead of it just being one dimensional. I will warn you though that the ending for this book is very tense at times and may upset/trigger some people due to a certain topic in history. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes contemporary romance but long for a deeper story line, I assure you that this book will give that to you. Good luck ever getting this beautiful story out of your head after reading it.
